Kristina Zak is a contemporary artist based in Zurich. Her work is inspired by nature, emotion, and inner freedom. Kristina Zak studied contemporary art at SKDZ Schule für Kunst und Design Zurich, where she completed a certificate in design and applied arts. Her education combined practical and theoretical training in painting, color theory, drawing, digital design, animation, graphics, layout, typography, photography, installation, and art history. This interdisciplinary foundation helped her develop a strong visual language and a disciplined, intuitive artistic practice.
Alongside her artistic education, Kristina has a professional background in digital design, UX design, and content creation. She has worked in marketing and design roles in Zurich, where she developed skills in visual storytelling, composition, and audience engagement. This experience continues to influence her artistic work through a refined sense of structure, balance, and contemporary aesthetics.
Her current artistic focus is contemporary abstract painting inspired by nature, emotional states, and the idea of inner freedom. Through layered textures, atmospheric color fields, and subtle gestures, she creates works that exist between landscape and emotion, reflecting inner experiences rather than physical places. Her paintings evoke calm, serenity, and emotional depth, offering quiet spaces for reflection, stillness, and contemplation. Kristina is open to exhibitions, collaborations, and commissions, and continues to expand her practice through ongoing exploration of materials, surfaces, light, and intuitive processes.
